The fuel consumption performance of the Cat hydraulic excavator in the night shift work scene has been the focus of attention in the field of engineering and machinery.The fuel consumption of the Cat hydraulic excavators is likely to decrease as a result of the stable and low temperatures of night operations, as compared to daytime operations in general.However, actual fuel consumption is influenced by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, equipment models (e.g. Cat320D hydraulic excavator, Cat336 hydraulic excavator, etc.), operational intensity, operational skills, maintenance status and fuel quality.In order to accurately calculate the fuel consumption of the Cat hydraulic excavator at night, we need to consider the above elements together.For example, for high-efficiency Cat large hydraulic excavators, night shift oil consumption may fall by about 5-10 per cent compared to daytime, with a reasonable schedule of work loads and use of energy-saving models.Specific values, however, need to be field tested and statistically analysed on the basis of the actual situation.In general, in order to effectively control and reduce the consumption of night-time oil on the Cat hydraulic excavator, in addition to selective models of superior and low-energy equipment, emphasis should be placed on training in the operation and maintenance of the equipment, along with the use of high-quality fuel to ensure that the machine remains in optimal condition.This reminds the wider user of the night shift fuel consumption of the Cat hydraulic excavator, which not only helps to save operating costs, but is also an important element in achieving green and sustainable construction.
