Visibility is first class, with an unobstructed 360° view through the glass. Parallel loader-arm geometry aids this still further.

A wide door aperture and well-positioned steps make cab access easy and safe on a JCB 406 AGRI compact loader, and the ergonomically laid out controls are comfortably within arm’s reach.

Serviceability is similarly impressive on these compact wheeled loaders, with grouped daily checks accessible from ground level, a wide opening bonnet and long 1,000hr engine service intervals. Oil-immersed disc brakes give virtually maintenance-free life and all engine service points are grouped for convenience.

From farm buildings to the field, the potential applications for JCB 406 AGRI wheel loaders are endless.

To give you an idea, JCB 406 AGRI wheel loaders have a big lift height but are still compact enough to fit into tight barns. Turning radius (over shovel) is just 4.16 m. There’s further versatility on offer with a large range of attachments and, thanks to our hydraulic quickhitch, the operator doesn’t even have to leave the cab for attachment changes.

The cab volume of a JCB 406 compact wheel loader is excellent, and its low mounting reduces overall machine height.

Overall machine controllability is first class too. Our pivot steer design makes JCB 406 AGRI wheel loaders simple to manoeuvre, while allowing easy and accurate placing of the load. Dual-speed hydrostatic transmission provides accurate matching of speed to application and the ability to inch using the brake pedal.

Responsive, accurate hydraulic controls give fast cycle times and are simple and intuitive even for inexperienced operators.

PERFORMANCE

JCB 406 AGRI wheel loaders’ power is provided by a Tier 3 compliant 4-cylinder Deutz engine offering a powerful 62hp (46 kW).

This is combined with permanent four-wheel-drive for excellent traction in poor ground conditions.

JCB 406 compact loaders have an operating weight of 5 tonnes.

Because the 406 AGRI compact wheel loaders are designed with pallet work in mind, we’ve fitted a sturdy, parallel-lift loader-arm with a payload of 2,064 kg (when using pallet forks, 80% safety factor).
Front visibility is excellent and the JCB 406 AGRI wheel loader offers an impressive shovel tearout of 41.9 kN.
